This notice explains how The Discipleship Tool handles information when you use assessments, growth plans, communities, tasks, and conversations. Contact us at info@thediscipleshiptool.com with questions about this notice or your information.
We handle account names and email addresses, password hashes, optional profile photos, community memberships and approval records, assessment answers and results, selected growth topics, task assignments and submissions, AI conversations and uploaded files, community messages, and operational activity records. Your assessment responses and conversations may reveal religious beliefs and other sensitive information. Please avoid supplying unnecessary private information about yourself or others.
Information is used to authenticate accounts, verify email addresses, administer communities and permissions, save and resume assessments, generate results and growth plans, deliver tasks and conversations, send service alerts, and operate and troubleshoot the platform.
Site administrators can access assessment results and information needed to operate the service. Leaders of every community in which your membership is approved can view your assessment history and relevant task submissions. If you join multiple communities, your assessment results become available to the leaders of each approved community; there is no separate results-sharing switch.
Community messages and your name are visible to approved participants in that community. Community chat is not a private message to the leader. Community leaders receive service alerts about join requests, task submissions, and assessment completion. Platform administrators receive alerts about community creation requests.
Leaving a community removes ongoing membership-based access. It cannot retract information already viewed, downloaded, or received by email. Closing a community stops community access while preserving historical records and members' personal assessments. Leaving or closing a community does not delete your account or personal assessment history.
Hosting, email delivery, AI processing, and notification providers process information needed to supply these features. When you use AI tools, your messages and supported attachments may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate responses. Do not submit confidential information that you do not have permission to share. Contact us for information about the providers used for your account.
Website assets such as fonts and scripts may load from external providers. Donations and external resources may open third-party sites, which have their own privacy policies and terms.
The platform uses session and security cookies for sign-in, request protection, and account preferences. Web requests and operational logs may contain technical information such as IP addresses, request details, and timestamps. Your browser controls can restrict cookies, but doing so may prevent account features from working.
Access is restricted through account and community permissions. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Account, assessment, message, task, and operational records may remain stored after you stop participating in a community; leaving or closing a community is not a deletion request. Contact us to discuss retention, correction, access, or deletion of your information. Applicable obligations, operational requirements, and backups may affect what can be removed and when.
You can contact info@thediscipleshiptool.com to request access, correction, or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. The rights and response requirements that apply depend on applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review the situation. Please do not submit another person's personal information without appropriate permission.
Updates to this notice will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where applicable requirements call for additional notice or consent, those requirements still apply.
